Actor Akshay Kumar on Saturday shared a video on Instagram, in which he hinted at the announcement of his new film on his 57th birthday. The actor wrote, “Ganpati Bappa Morya! What better day than today to announce something special for you. It will be revealed on my birthday. Stay tuned!”

Akshay has reportedly teamed up with filmmaker Priyadarshan for a horror-comedy film and the announcement is expected on his birthday, September 9. The two have reunited after 14 years since their last screen outing. sweet and sour,

While not much has been revealed about this new horror-comedy yet, the film will be about black magic and will feature Akshay alongside three actresses. mid day The report states that the team will release the motion poster of the horror-comedy on Akshay’s birthday. The report also states that the shooting of the film is expected to begin by the end of this year and will go on till the first half of 2025.

Major portions of the film are to be shot in Hyderabad, forests of Kerala and Sri Lanka, while the final schedule will be shot in Gujarat next year. While the motion poster is likely to reveal details of Akshay’s character, the team is still finalising the rest of the cast.

It is rumored that Kiara Advani, Keerti Suresh and Alia Bhatt will work together in this film.

Meanwhile, this will be the third horror-comedy of Akshay’s career. The actor was earlier seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, which is also touted to be a psychological thriller. He also did a cameo in the recently released ‘Stree 2’ alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The actor has several interesting projects lined up including ‘Jolly LLB 3’, ‘Sky Force’ and ‘Singham Again’.
