Independence Day Weekend Release, War 2 and Coolie are near the end of their dramatic run. Both tentpol films are taking some of their last few breaths at the box office before going out of the screen completely.
Calli Storms set globally to end Rs 457 crore, War 2 350 crores below Rs. 350 crore
The director of Lokesh Kanagarj made an outstanding inauguration at the box office worldwide, starting the number 1 for a Kollywood film. However, the film was a downhill post in the weekend of the festive festive for a long time. However, it collected speed in the second weekend and moved more than Rs 291.25 crore in India. The film is just 8 to 9 crores away from hitting triple century in India.
Internationally, Cool earned around Rs 19 million (gross of Rs 166.25 crore), took its 11-day worldwide gross cum to Rs 457.50 crore.
On the other hand, War 2 added about 22 crore rupees to the domestic tally in the second weekend, causing its 11 -day cum to Rs 253.35 crore in India. Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR starrer reached the worldwide gross of Rs 335.50 crore, around 9.38 million (Rs 82.15 crore) in foreign markets.
As the two films are now in their final legs, Cool is expected to close his dramatic run around Rs 470 crore. War 2 is expected to reach a mark of Rs 350 crore at the box office.
