Kiara Advani is all set to appear alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukherjee. The shooting of the film is currently going on in Italy, due to which there is an atmosphere of excitement among the fans. Meanwhile, the actress has taken the internet by storm by sharing her first selfie with the director and adding a touch of Wake Up Sid to the mix.
Today, on October 6, Kiara Advani shared a stunning selfie with War 2 director Ayan Mukerji on her Instagram stories. The two spent ‘Holy Sunday’ together and twinned in white. In the picture, Kiara was seen in a white suit with her head covered with a matching dupatta, while Ayaan was also seen in a white outfit with a matching dupatta wrapped around his head.
“Holi Sunday @AyanMukerji” followed by nerd and hello smiley face emoji. He also added Wake Up Sid’s favorite song, Iktara in the background.

One of the most awaited films, War 2 will be the sixth film in the espionage world made by YRF. The early films in the espionage world include Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathan and Tiger 3. The post-credits sequence of last year’s Diwali release Tiger 3 offered a glimpse of Hrithik’s return as Kabir in War 2.
While the first part of War was directed by Siddharth Anand, the sequel of the film, scheduled to release in 2019, will be directed by Ayan Mukherjee. It is scheduled to release on the big screens on August 14, 2025, a day before India’s Independence Day.
Earlier, a source exclusively told Pinkvilla, “Ayan Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra have meticulously worked on the script of War 2 to make it different from what they have done so far in the YRF spy universe. War 2 will be an action spectacle like never before, and as Kabir’s post-credits sequence suggests, it will be a little darker and grittier.”
