Veteran actress Vyjayanthimala was the epitome of grace while performing on Carnatic music. Musician Girijashankar Sundaresan has shared the video on social media.

Even at the age of 91, Vyjayanthimala continues to mesmerize the world with her evergreen grace event. Recently, the renowned actor and classical dancer won hearts by performing on Carnatic music in Chennai. While composer Girijashankar Sundaresan sang, the veteran artiste’s on-point Bharatanatyam expressions left fans in awe.
This beautiful moment was shared by musician Girijashankar Sundaresan on Instagram. He posted a video of Vyjayanthimala performing the Carnatic composition Dasiganunta in raga Abheri based on Adi tala. This demonstration took place at the Art Exhibition in Chennai.
Girijashankar Sundaresan expressed his appreciation towards Vyjayanthimala by sharing the video on his Instagram account. “It is an immense honor to share the stage with Padma Vibhushan Dr. Vyjayanthimala Bali Amma. Her grace, talent and legacy continue to inspire us all. Grateful to have been a part of this magical experience! Will cherish this moment forever. I will keep it.”

Vyjayanthimala is known for her performances in films such as Devdas (1955), Madhumati (1958), Jewel Thief (1967) and Sangam (1964). He retired from acting after Gaanwar (1970). He later gained popularity for his dancing, especially for his work in Bharatanatyam. He was also awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1982. The legendary actor was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2024.
