Vivo has been teasing the launch of a new Y-series smartphone in India. On Monday, the company confirmed that it will launch the Y58 5G smartphone. The teaser also reveals that the phone will be launched on June 20. This will likely be a soft launch, with the company just sharing details about the smartphone and listing the device on e-commerce websites; Vivo will likely not hold an event for the launch of the phone. As of now, Vivo has not confirmed anything about the smartphone except the name of the device and the launch date.

However, looking at the teaser we can say that the Vivo Y58 5G will come in two colour variants: blue and green. The smartphone will have a watch design at the back, which is basically a large round watch dial-like design at the back of the phone that houses the camera setup. The teaser image also reveals that the Vivo Y58 5G will have a dual camera setup, an LED flash, and what looks like a ring light.

From the teaser, it seems that both the colour variants of the phone will have a matte finish rear panel and glossy edges. The design on the rear panel also seems to be slightly different in both the colour variants. The green variant has a golden colour ring around the camera module, which is to give it a more premium look.

Also, since the teaser image shows the phone from the side, we couldn’t help but notice the slab design on the phone. There is no curved display. This means that the Vivo Y58 5G will have a flat display.

This will be Vivo’s first launch in India after its first foldable phone, the Vivo XFold 3 Pro 5G.

Vivo Y58 5G: Expected specifications and features

The Vivo Y58 is expected to feature an LCD, but it is expected to have the brightest sunlight display in its segment. Additionally, the Vivo Y58 is expected to include a large 6,000mAh battery, although details about fast charging capabilities are yet to be revealed. Reports also suggest that the smartphone will come with significant improvements in both camera and display technology.

This week is going to be a very busy one for smartphone makers in India. There are multiple device launches this week alone. Apart from the Vivo Y58 5G launching on June 20, there is the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra on June 18, the Realme GT6 on June 20, and the Infinix Note 4 on June 21.
