After teasing Vivo Y300 for a few days, the company has finally released the launch date of the phone. Vivo Y300 is set to launch on November 21, the company revealed on Xpress (formerly Twitter). Besides, in this teaser the company has also unveiled the design of the upcoming smartphone. The Vivo Y300 features a dual camera setup located on a rectangular island. It also has a ring light installed just below the camera lens. Otherwise, the back panel is plain with the brand logo at the bottom.

Vivo Y300 has a boxy design with a metallic frame. The company has confirmed that the phone will come in three colors: Dark Purple, Sea Green, and Grey. The company has not yet revealed the marketing names of these variants. The back panel hints at an interesting camera detail. Vivo Y300 will feature Aura Lights for better photography in low light.

To compare, the design language of the back panel is quite different from its predecessor Vivo Y200 launched last year. Since the Vivo Y200 was priced under Rs 20,000, we can expect a slight increase here and touch the sub-Rs 25,000 price segment.

Vivo Y300: Expected specs and features

Except for the launch date and design language, the company has kept other details under wraps. But rumors have created a picture of the upcoming phone. Current leaks and teaser images suggest that the Y300 will have a sleek design with titanium-like elements, reminiscent of the Vivo V40 Lite, the first model introduced globally.

The Vivo Y300 is expected to come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that will offer Full HD+ resolution at 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. According to the teaser, the dual camera setup on the back panel is likely to be a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary lens. The primary camera is rumored to use a Sony IMX882 sensor, which excels at detailed portrait shots. For selfies, the Y300 may feature a 32-megapixel front camera, which will set it apart from many other models in its range.

It is speculated that the upcoming mid-range smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM. Additionally, the phone is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

Vivo Y300 offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB-C port. Running Funtouch OS 14 built on Android 14, the device includes stereo speakers and has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. It also has an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for secure biometric access.
