Vivo is once again getting ready to take India’s premium smartphone market by storm, this time with its X300 series, which is officially confirmed to launch on December 2. The lineup, which includes the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, will make its grand debut in India about two months after its global launch. And this time, Vivo has something extra for Indian fans, a special red color edition of the standard X300 that won’t be available anywhere else.
The event, which is expected to be streamed on Vivo’s social channels, will also see the arrival of Zeiss 2.35X teleconverters, an advanced photography accessory designed to enhance smartphone zoom capabilities to the next level. However, unlike the Chinese launch, the photography grip accessory won’t be coming to India, at least not yet.
Vivo X300: Specs, features and more
The Vivo X300 aims to blend top-tier performance with serious camera hardware. It features a 6.31-inch flat BOE Q10 Plus LTPO OLED display that offers 1.5K resolution and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, ensuring buttery-smooth visuals and punchy colors. Under the hood, it runs on the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Powering all that performance is a 6,040mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, a combination that promises both speed and longevity. Vivo has also added an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for faster authentication and top-tier IP68 and IP69 ratings, making the phone resistant to water, dust, and even high pressure jets.
But it’s the camera setup that really grabs the headlines. The rear module houses a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens that offers 3X optical and 100X digital zoom. Vivo’s in-house V3+ imaging chip handles image processing, promising better clarity, dynamic range, and low-light performance. The setup has been tuned in collaboration with Zeiss, cementing Vivo’s reputation for making the most photography-centric smartphones.
Vivo X300 Pro: What to Expect?
If the X300 is powerful, the X300 Pro goes a step further. It features a larger 6.78-inch flat BOE Q10 Plus LTPO OLED display, which maintains the same 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate for vibrant, adaptive visuals. It is powered by the same Dimensity 9500 chipset, backed by 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, ensuring flagship-grade multitasking and gaming performance.
Battery capacity has increased to 6,510mAh, again supported by 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, making it one of the few flagship phones to combine high power output with long battery life. Like its sibling, it includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69 durability certification.
Photography remains the defining strength of the X300 Pro. The phone sports a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens capable of 3.5X optical zoom and 100X digital zoom. The Pro model benefits from Vivo’s dual imaging engines, the V3+ and VS1 chips, which handle advanced AI enhancements and color processing, giving users a more natural yet detail-rich output.
The X300 Pro will come in gold and black finishes, while the standard X300 gets its own special red edition, adding a touch of flair to the lineup.
