Vivo launched the X200 and X200 Pro in China in October, began its global rollout in November and made its India debut last week. These phones are not yet available for sale in India, but the X200 is already getting a new feature with a software update in the Asian country.

Vivo X200 color options in India
The update also brings a photo glare reduction switch to the default camera app. Vivo says it “automatically reduces the glare effect in finished photos in certain scenarios and also allows you to place the glare effect based on your needs.”
Additionally, this software update – firmware version PDF2415_EX_A_15.0.9.19.W30 and requires a 468MB download – bumps the Android security patch level on the Indian Vivo X200 to December 1, 2024. You can check out the changelog of the update below for more details.

- Google security patches updated to December 2024 to improve system security.
- Fixed an occasional issue where features might not work properly in some apps in split-screen mode.
- Fixed occasional issue with abnormal power consumption in standby mode.
camera
- Added a photo brightness switch. Once turned on, brightness reduction will work with some photo-taking features. It automatically reduces the glare effect in finished photos in certain scenarios and also allows you to maintain the glare effect depending on your needs.
album
- Added AI glare reduction feature that processes glare in photos already taken in the album. Path: Album > Image Editing > AI Erase > Brightness Reduction.
multimedia
- Optimized audio parameters to improve audio playback effect.
Apps
- Third-party app compatibility has been optimized to fix an occasional issue where some apps don’t work properly.
Status bar and notifications
- Fixed an occasional issue where the status bar would not display properly in some scenarios.
The Indian model of the Vivo X200 runs Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 and comes with a promise of four years of Android version upgrades and five years of security updates. The Vivo X200 Pro also comes with the same software update promise.
