The company recently hinted at the launch of its first foldable phone in the country, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, which features AI capabilities. The big launch is set for today.

Vivo India had earlier posted the launch date on its official X handle, sharing, “Meet the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. It’s not just another foldable phone; it’s India’s best foldable ever. It’s thinner, lighter, brighter, bigger, and more powerful than any foldable phone you’ve seen before. Stay tuned.” The post was also accompanied by a teaser video that finally revealed the launch date.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: Availability and Price

The price of Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in China has been set at 9,999 Yuan (around Rs 1.17 lakh). It is expected that the price of this phone in India will be less than Rs 1.5 lakh.

Talking about availability, the phone will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Vivo India’s online store and offline retail channels.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: Expected specs

The Vivo XFold 3 Pro will be Vivo’s first foldable phone to launch outside China. The Indian variant is expected to mirror its global counterpart in terms of specifications. Leaks and rumours have given a glimpse of the possible features of the phone.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro could be the first foldable phone to feature a carbon fibre keel component in its hinge mechanism. This technology helps keep the device lightweight and durable. TUV Rheinland testing previously confirmed that the device can withstand up to 500,000 folds, which is equivalent to about 12 years of use.

The phone will feature dual displays: a 6.53-inch cover display and an 8.03-inch inner AMOLED LTPO folding display, both with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, with a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.

An earlier teaser from Vivo highlighted the use of ZEISS optics in the camera system and showcased the lightweight design of the phone, which weighs just 236 grams and is 11.2mm thick when folded thanks to a 14.98 mAh carbon fibre hinge.

The X Fold 3 Pro is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, along with an Adreno GPU for better graphics performance. The device may feature up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. It will run on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.

For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is expected to feature a great camera setup, including a 50-megapixel ultra-sensing primary camera with OIS, a 64-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. There is expected to be a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The device is also likely to have a 5,700mAh battery
