Vivo will launch its latest V-series phone Vivo V60 on August 12 in India. The company has confirmed several major glasses before the launch. Full design has also surfaced. Where the V50 went for wide and ultravide camera setup, V50, Vivo is going back to its roots, once again by giving a proper telephoto, enabling portrait photography – as well as ultravide. Therefore, while the V50 had double cameras, the V60 has three – wide, ultravide and zoom. Vivo continues to offer Zes Tuning here and at the same time means that V60 can be one of the most capable and compelling phones in the market at the time of launch.

There are other large upgrades, mainly around performance and longevity. The V60 is confirmed to rocking Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 General 4 processor, a step-up on the V50’s Snapdragon 7 General 3 chip. RAM and storage options are yet to be announced. The battery is large. V60 packs more than a large 6,500mAh, 500mAh more V50. Vivo has not yet specified charging speed. V50 can do 90W. Given that the battery is large, V60 can get 80W charging, but we will see.

Coming back into cameras, Vivo V60 is ready to reach with a total of four cameras. For primary, Vivo is using a 50-megapixel Sony LMX766 sensor, which has been added to an unspecified lens with optical image stabilization. Secondary and tertiary cameras use 50-megapixels Soni LMX882 with optical image stabilization and telephoto lens with another unspecified ultravide camera. The front camera is a 50-megapixel added to the lens with a 92-degree Field of View (Fov). All cameras get zes treatment. Vivo has also placed some of his recent photography chops such as stage and four-season paintings with a group of AI Magic Moves such as AI Quirks.

Vivo will offer V60 in auspicious gold, gauze gray and moonlight blue choice. The phone will have high level dust and water resistance with IP68 and IP69 ratings. The display will be quad-served and the phone will run the latest Vivo Funtch OS 15.

From the history of these phones, we can expect Vivo that the V60 costs around Rs 40,000. Watch this space for more details.
