Vivo unveiled the Pad3 Pro with the Dimensity 9300 SoC in March, and as promised, the brand introduced the vanilla model today. The Vivo Pad3 features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It runs OriginOS 14 on top of Android 4, but it is unclear how many Android version upgrades it will receive.
The Vivo Pad3 is built with a 12.1″ 144Hz LCD with a 2,800×1,968-pixel resolution and a 7:5 screen ratio. It has a maximum brightness of 600 nits, covers the P3 gamut and supports HDR10 and 1.07 billion colours. Additionally, the screen supports eye-friendly natural colour temperature adjustment, anti-fatigue brightness adjustment, and elderly-friendly colour modes.
The Vivo Pad3 sports an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front. The whole package is powered by a 10,000mAh battery that draws up to 44W of power via a USB-C port.
Other key highlights of the Vivo Pad3 include a 6-speaker setup with 3D panoramic audio, 3D heat dissipation system with a total heat dissipation area of 27,500mm.2Hardware ray tracing for gaming and Vivo’s in-house BlueLM AI model.
The Vivo Pad3 also supports the Vivo Pencil 2S stylus and Smart Touch Keyboard, which are sold separately. The Pencil 2S has a non-slip grip and comes with wireless magnetic charging, dual buttons, and Chinese handwriting beautification. The keyboard, on the other hand, has 64 keys in five rows, connects via POGO pins, and features a trackpad.

The Vivo Pad3 is 6.57mm thick, weighs 589.2 grams and has a metal body. It is available in blue, purple and grey and has four memory options – 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, priced at CNY2,499 ($345/€320/INR28,690), CNY2,799 ($385/€360/INR32,135), CNY3,099 ($425/€400/INR35,580) and CNY3,399 ($470/€440/INR39,025), respectively.
