Vivo announced light, more affordable Apple Vision Pro with rival Vivo Vision Qualcomm Chip

Vivo has announced its first mixed reality (MR) headset, Vivo Vision Discovery version. The headset comes with a dual 8K display and weighs 398g. It is deployed against Apple Vision Pro.

Chinese phone manufacturer Vivo has announced its first mixed reality (MR) headset. The Vision Discovery Edition will be taken to equipment like a handset, Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3.

The Vivo Vision Dual 8K comes with a micro-LED display. This gives the device per opinion resolution of 3840 3552 pixels. According to Vision Explorer version Vivo provides 94 percent DCI-P3 coverage.

The company claims that users will get 180 degrees captivating views. Upfront, users will have a 120-foot virtual screen a reposable. The headset can be controlled through gestures. Vivo Vision 1.5-Digry will also use eye-tracking with precision.

The headset weighs 398 grams, which is less than 600 grams of Apple Vision Pro. The vision explorer version uses magnesium alloy components in its construction, which helps in losing weight. The MR headset is 83 mm long and 40 mm thick.

Powering the Vivo Vision Discovery version is Snapdragon XR2 Plus General 2 chipset. According to the phone manufacturer, the processor offers 2.5x better performance than the previous generation. It runs on the original vision of Vivo.

The company is pitching the headset as an entertainment device. The games are dedicated to streaming and real -time match data. Additionally, Vivo has participated with the choice of Red Bull Austria and Sony Pictures Television for content.

There are also two exclusive MR titles, table drum master and Little vs. Journey. The user headset of the Vivo X200 smartphone will basically be able to share images and videos.

Vivo vision value and availability

Vivo has taken a different view with the Vision Discovery Edition. The headset will not go on sale immediately. Rather, customers can sign up for the headset testing from August 22.

The company will have 12 stations in major Chinese cities such as Beijing and Shanghai where visitor will be able to test the device. However, the preceding has begun.

Vivo has not yet announced the pricing of the Vision Vision Discovery version. According to Gizmochina, Vivo officials have indicated that the headset may cost around 10,000 yuan (about $ 1,395 or Rs 1,21,599).

Such a price will be much lower than the Apple Vision Pro’s $ 3499 (about Rs 3,05,307) price tag. While the Meta Quest 3 costs $ 499 (about Rs 43,538).
