Vivek Ramaswami’s prediction on Biden, Kamala Harris comes true, Musk reacts

Indian-American businessman-turned-politician Vivek Ramaswamy had predicted almost eight months ago that outgoing President Joe Biden would not be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.

Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he has decided to quit his race for re-election as President of the United States and endorsed his deputy Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.

“The best way to predict the future is: just follow the incentives. It’s shocking how accurate you can be, exactly at the right time,” Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old Republican, said in a social media post accompanying a video interview with Fox News last November, shortly after Biden announced his decision.

Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk replied, “Yes, all his predictions have come true.” Ramaswami replied, “I wish it didn’t.”

In his interview to Fox News, Ramaswami said: “I think the reality is that the management class around Biden has outlived its usefulness to him. It’s been clear to me over the last year that they are taking advantage of the incentives. He’s not the strongest candidate they could field. And these people will stop at nothing to keep Donald J Trump out of office,” he said.

The Indian-American, who at the time was a front-runner for the Republican presidential nominee in the primaries along with former President Donald Trump, said two candidates – Kamala Harris and Michelle Obama – would likely be chosen by the Democrats.

“Let’s give credit where credit is due. For almost a year, a man has been saying “Biden will not be the Democratic nominee” and predicting a last-minute loss. People called him crazy,” social media influencer Tristen Tate said, praising Ramaswami after his prediction came true. Ramaswami had made a similar prediction during one of the Republican presidential debates.

“I remember when Vivek Ramaswami said this in the debate, the corporate media reporters were laughing and mocking him. Now they are not laughing!” journalist Rahim Kassam said on X.
