When it comes to celebrating birthdays, cake is the most preferred dessert. Do you agree? But what if the birthday boy is not a fan of cakes? A woman found a unique solution for her husband’s birthday and made a biryani ‘cake’ for his special day. In a viral video posted on Instagram by digital creator Sharmila, her husband can be seen smiling happily while holding a biryani cake. Sharmila topped the cake-shaped biryani with chicken pieces, boiled eggs and onions. The caption on the video reads, “PoV: When husband likes biryani more than cake.” The viral video has garnered 3 million views so far.

Viewers on Instagram are impressed with the creation. “You should have poured biryani gravy on it and then pulled it up. It would have been a great pull-apart cake,” suggested one user. “This is a good option, better than artificially flavoured cakes,” wrote another.
One impressed viewer said, “Now I want a cake like this for my next birthday.” Another added, “This is the perfect cake for biryani lovers.”

Similarly, Rohit Abraham, an Indian record producer, singer and songwriter with over 42,000 followers on Instagram, posted a video of his mother’s birthday celebration, in which she can be seen slicing biryani on her birthday. He wrote, “How we celebrated my mom’s birthday in a sugar-free household.”

More recently, in April, a viral Instagram video showed a man celebrating his birthday with his family by cutting into a papaya. The video shows a birthday arrangement with banners and balloons, but instead of the traditional cake, a large papaya is placed on the table. The man happily cuts into the papaya as everyone sings “Happy Birthday.”
