Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan were among the other prominent guests at Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s Shubh Ashirwad ceremony. Amidst all the viral videos from the grand ceremony, a clip of Rajinikanth touching Amitabh’s feet has surfaced online.

Rajinikanth, accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth, approached Amitabh Bachchan, who attended the event with his granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda and son-in-law Nikhil Nanda. In a video, Rajinikanth is seen almost bending to touch Amitabh’s feet. However, Amitabh, showing decency and humility, gently stopped him and hugged him. After this, the two shook hands and had a warm conversation.

For the event, Big B wore a dark blue kurta adorned with multicoloured embroidery while Rajinikanth wore a traditional plain white kurta and dhoti.
Rajinikanth and Amitabh worked together 32 years ago in the film ‘Hum’ which was a huge hit. Now both of them will be seen together again on the silver screen in the upcoming film ‘Vettaiyaan’.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got married on Friday (July 12) after months of pre-wedding events in India and abroad. Anant, 29, oversees renewable and green energy expansion for Reliance Industries Ltd, a leading oil-to-telecom conglomerate. While Radhika, also 29, is the daughter of pharmaceutical tycoon Viren Merchant and works as a marketing director for her father’s company Encore Healthcare.
