The 52nd International Emmy Awards are here! Indian comedian and actor Vir Das, who won the International Emmy Award in 2023 for his stand-up special Landing, is hosting this year’s prestigious event. The awards, presented by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS), celebrate the best television programs produced and broadcast outside the United States in 2023.
expressing His enthusiasm about hosting the grand event, Weir had earlier said, “I’m so happy to be hosting the International Emmys. It’s a big prestigious night to support creators around the world who I believe are creating their best content. I “I know firsthand how life-changing it can be.”
The event, held at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City, featured more than 56 nominees from 21 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the UK, India and France. Representing India, Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur’s Disney+ Hotstar series The Night Manager Competes in the Best Drama Series category Against Les Gautes de Dieu (France) and The Newsreader – Season 2 (Australia).
Fans in India can watch the event from 3:30 am to 9:30 am IST on Tuesday. The awards are streaming globally on iemmys.tv.
