Vir Das gifts ticket to fan who waited two years to attend his show: Proud of you
Comedian Vir Das gifted a ticket to a fan who had been eagerly waiting for two years to attend his show.
Comedian and actor Vir Das has touched hearts with his generous gesture towards a devoted fan who waited for over two years to see his performance.
The fan, a student from Vadodara, had initially written a letter to Veer during his Wanted tour, expressing his heartfelt desire to participate in a show but revealing financial constraints. Veer shared a screenshot of the fan’s DM in a post on Instagram.
The fan’s message read: “Hey Veer, big fan from Vadodara. I’ve always wanted to be on one of your shows and Desired The tour was the only thread of hope I held on to. Unfortunately, I am not able to earn yet. So, I pleaded with my father as much as I could, and he refused due to very obvious reasons (financial constraints). I am a student and going to Canada for my further studies in July. I will then start earning, and if you come to Toronto or somewhere around there, I will be able to participate in your show. This is the string of yarn I’ll be holding on to for now! All the best for the rest of the Wanted tour, Veer, supporting you always.”
Two years later, the fan released an update, sharing his excitement about finally being able to attend Veer’s event brain fool Tour in Toronto. “Hi Veer, I have started earning, and I will be at your service brain fool Tour in Toronto. Hey hey. Very, very excited about this,” he wrote.
Vir Das responded warmly and surprised the fan by offering free tickets. In a public post, Veer wrote, “Hey, baby. If you see this before the show, my team has DMed you. Your tickets are on me. I’m proud of you.” He added in the caption: “Baby!!! Posting this because we’re trying to reach you. We DMed you, no response. If you see this, I am proud of you. You waited for two years to meet me and made the sweetest promise, but you are not paying. Please answer to my team.”
Weir is set to host his first Mindful Tour in Toronto on December 1st. Fans can attend one of two shows scheduled at 4 pm and 7 pm, both of which will take place at Meridian Hall. His next performance will be in Dublin on 4 December, followed by a final show at the Union Chapel in London on 6 December, where he will hold two sessions – one at 6pm and the other at 9pm.
