Vinod Khosla Slam critics say Openi Sora AI Slope, says that he has a tunnel vision and lack of imagination
Openai investor Vinod Khosla condemned the negative reactions to the narrow -minded Sora to critics. He urged users to evaluate AI material independently.
Openai has recently launched its latest video-generation model, Sora 2. This advanced version brings significant improvement on its predecessor, including long -generated clips and producing more realistic, life video. But after its release, Sora 2 quickly landed at the center of online debate. While many praised new models for their hyperraralistic AI video and accessible creative devices, others dismissed the flood of materials as “AI slopes”, accused Openai of reducing artistic integrity and staining the line between human and machine-made media. However, Vinod Khosla came to his defense, one of Openi’s early backchers. The billionaire enterprise capitalist publicly returned to critics, called the “tunnel vision creative”, which lacks imagination.
In a post on X, the founder of the Khosla Ventures wrote, “Let the audience of this’ slope” not to judge it, not the Ivory Tower Ludite Snutty critics or defensive creative. ” Supporting the new technology, he attracted similarities between today’s backlash and resistance against Sora, which once met in innovations such as digital music in the 1990s and digital photography in the 2000s. “This is the same initial response we saw then,” he said, arguing that new mediums often face skepticism before being widely accepted.
What is Sora 2?
Launched earlier this month, Sora allows 2 users to generate short AI-operated videos using text signals, images and even their equality and voice. The app quickly climbed the Apple App Store Chart, causing a flood of AI-Janit clips in the social media feed. Supporters jumped it as a step towards democratizing video production, while critics warned that it could saturate the Internet with artificial material and reduce authentic human creativity.
Khosla, however, sees Sora as an extension of creative boundaries rather than a threat. He said, “If you have an imagination, Sora opens up many more avenues of creativity,” he said that the traditional video will always be replaced by it. “There will still be a role for traditional videos, but many more dimensions of creative videos AI.”
Openai introduces opt-in controls for Sora 2
After the release of the model, the company was also questioning the possible misuse of intellectual property (IP) and copyright .. In which recently in a blog post, OpenIE CEO Sam Altman announced 2 updates in the AI platform. The first rights will get more detailed control over the characters producing the rightsholders. This will be like an opt-in model for equality, but with additional control.
Second, the company is also searching for the new milestone model, including potential revenue-sharing with rights holders. “People are generating much more than the expectation of the user, and a lot of videos are being generated for very small audiences.
