Vikrant Massey says he was never a part of Ramayana, later removes clarification post
Vikrant Massey quashes rumors of being a part of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayan, shared a clarification on his Instagram Story which he later deleted. The actor criticized irresponsible media reports, saying that he was never associated with the film.

Actor Vikrant Massey has rubbished rumors of playing Ranbir Kapoor’s part. RamayanaPosted the clarification on his Instagram Story and later removed it. Responding to reports that he has been replaced by Raghav Juyal, the actor said that he was never associated with the film and called it irresponsible media coverage.
Speculation started after the reports It was claimed that Massey was set to play Meghnad, also known as Indrajit, the eldest son of Ravana and the prince of Lanka. However, according to Variety IndiaRaghav Juyal has now been brought on board for Ramayan: Part 2, which is scheduled to release in Diwali 2027.
Addressing the rumours, Vikrant called out the media portal on Instagram for publishing the story. Re-sharing a post which revealed that he is no longer a part of the film, he wrote, “Okay. To put things to rest, I was never a part of this film. No, never was. This kind of irresponsible media coverage from “respected” media houses is a bit appalling. Still, all the best for Ramayan. Will definitely buy a ticket and watch it in theatres.” The actor later deleted the Instagram story, though the reason behind the move is unclear.

Ramayana boasts of a star-studded lineup Ranbir Kapoor is playing the character of Lord Ram, kgf Yash is shown as Ravana, and Sai Pallavi is shown as Sita. Sunny Deol is set to play the role of Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey will be seen as Lakshman.
The cast also includes Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Sheeba Chaddha, Adinath Kothare and Kunal Kapoor.
The mythological film is planned as a two-part global release Part – 1 Arrival during Diwali 2026, onwards part 2 Diwali in 2027.
