According to the FIR, Dr Murdiya claims that he was persuaded to invest in a film based on the life of his late wife, with the alleged assurance that the project would generate profits of around Rs 200 crore. Mehboob and Dinesh Kataria are also named in the complaint.

Responding to the allegations, Bhatt dismissed the claims as baseless. talking to ndtvHe said, “Yes, I came to know today that an FIR has been filed against eight of us. I have read it and in my opinion it is misleading. The police have been misled because what is written in the FIR is absolutely false.”

He suggested that the complaint may have involved fabricated paperwork. “It’s clear that something must have been faked to reassure the police. I don’t know what exactly, but there must be something.”

Bhatt further alleged that Dr. Murdia stopped the film ‘Viraat’ before its completion and failed to make the pending payments. “They stopped the film midway. The technicians are still owed around Rs 250 crore. They are calling them. I believe this is a strategy to avoid paying the dues,” he claimed.

The filmmaker said that he is ready to cooperate fully in the investigation and provide evidence in support of his statements. “I have complete proof of what I am saying. If the police need documents, I will show everything. After that it will be clear who is right and who is wrong.”

At present the matter is under investigation. No charges have been formally filed so far, and both sides have expressed their willingness to present evidence to authorities.
