Vijay is not afraid: Actor’s father SA Chandrashekhar on delay in Jan Nayakan

SA Chandrasekhar, director, producer and actor and father of Thalapathy Vijay, addressed the repeated delays on the first day Jan Naygan’s Theatrical release while talking to the media. Commenting on the latest proceedings, Chandrashekhar referred to the recent judgment in which the court announced a fresh hearing in the case. Emphasizing on Vijay’s determination, he said that the actor-politician is not afraid of any challenge and is ready to face every obstacle that comes his way.

talking about Jan Naygan’s Delay, SA Chandrasekhar said, “People know what happened in Karur. Vijay is not afraid of anything. His chances of success are bright.”

He said hurdles are inevitable for anyone venturing into politics for the first time. He said, “It is normal for those entering politics for the first time to face hurdles. Vijay will have to face any number of such hurdles.”

Chandrashekhar also said that the public is well aware of the circumstances behind this. On the legal front, the judges have set aside an earlier order passed by a single judge, which had said that adequate time should be given to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to file its counter affidavit. The case has now been sent back to the single judge for a fresh hearing. The producers have also been given time to amend their appeal and challenge the CBFC chairman’s January 6 letter, which formed the basis for the delay.

Jan NayganDirected by H Vinoth, it was originally scheduled for theatrical release on January 9, but was postponed indefinitely. Following the delay, the film’s producer, KVN Productions, approached the court after the film was sent to a vetting committee based on an internal complaint.

While single bench judge PT Asha had earlier ruled in favor of the producers and directed the CBFC to issue a U/A 16+ certificate, the CBFC had filed an appeal against the order.
