The action drama ‘Kingdom’ of Vijay Devarakonda, directed by Gautham Tinanuri, has been officially postponed. The film planned for the summer release on 30 May, will now reach theaters on July 4.

Actor Vijay Devarakonda’s much awaited film ‘Kingdom’ has been postponed. Originally slated for summer release on 30 May, the film will now be a hit in theaters on July 4. The producers cited India -Pakistan tension after the Pahgam terror attack on 22 April, and Operation Sindoor – ‘Recently in the country’ – recently reasons for the postponement of the film.

Talking about the reason behind the adjournment, the manufacturers mentioned, “We have discovered every possibility of sticking to the original date, but the recent unexpected events and the current atmosphere in the country has made it difficult for us to move forward with promotion or ceremonies. We believe that this decision will help us to present the ‘Kingdom’ in a best possible way, which is qualified with active excellence and soul.

The manufacturers added, “We are grateful to Dil Raju Garu and Nithin Garu for their understanding and support in making this change possible.” On the same date, Nithin’s ‘Thommudu’, starring Nithin, was also slated.

On 12 February, the actor and his team unveiled the title teaser of the ‘Kingdom’. The film features Bhagishri Bores and Satyadev in decisive roles.
