A bikini-clad woman working at a cafe in south Seattle smashed a man’s car windshield with a hammer after an argument.
The barista was identified as 23-year-old Emma Lee, the owner and operator of ‘Taste of Heaven Espresso.’
The entire incident, which happened on June 11, was captured on CCTV cameras and was also widely shared on social media.
The video shows the man throwing his coffee at the barista, after which the woman hits his car with a hammer.
The argument between the two was reportedly over the price of coffee and a bottle of water that the man had purchased from the outlet.
Later the police were called and investigation into the incident was started.
In a post on social media, the woman said that she knew the man and that he had behaved aggressively towards her before. However, this was the first time he had physically attacked her, she claimed.
“The majority of the people we encounter during our shifts are kind, respectful, and overall wonderful human beings!”
“However, sometimes we see people who feel justified in being verbally and physically violent.”
“This was not the first time he was aggressive, but this was the first time he used physical violence against me. He got what he paid for and he was angry at the cost,” she said.
Fox13 reports that Lee said the customer ordered 32 ounces of coffee and 24 ounces of water, which cost a total of about $22. However, the customer refused to pay the full amount.
According to the report, Lee cited his right to protect his property and said he acted in self-defense.
He also said that he is ready to face any legal consequences and stands by his stand.
