Witness on New York Helicopter CrashDonald Trump called Chopper crash footage “horrific”

A family of five Spanish tourists, and a pilot, including three children, were killed when they crashed into the Hudson River in New York on Thursday after their visit to sightseeing.

The helicopter left the city’s Skyport at around 3 am and flew the Manhattan coastline to the south before going to the George Washington Bridge, said Jessica Tish, Police Commissioner, New York City.

The city then turned to Manhattan Hellyport, lost control and hit water near a Hobocaine Pear, Ms. Tish said.

“NYPD divers pulled four people from the accident site, and FDNY divers recovered an additional two. The immediate life -saving measures were done on the ships in the scene, as well as the nearby ghats.”

The police chief said, “Four victims were declared dead on the spot, and two more were removed in hospitals in the local area, where, sadly, both of them died due to their injuries.”

In a restaurant on the banks of the river in Hobocain, New Jersey, a hostess told the news agency AP that the helicopter was walking uncontrollably with “a bunch of smoke coming out” before slamming into the water.

Another witness said that it appeared like the rotor blade of the helicopter “shattered in the sky.”

The witness told the news agency AFP, “And after its shatter, we saw the helicopter just a spiral … and then it crashed into the water only in that way.”

Justin Green, an airline lawyer, who was a helicopter pilot in Marine Corps, told AP that the video of the accident suggested that “frightening mechanical failure” left no chance to save the aircraft to the pilot.

It is possible that the main rotors of the helicopter hit the tail boom, broke it and freed the cabin, Mr. Green said.

“There is no indication that he had any control over the craft. No pilot could stop the accident when they lose lifts. It is like falling to the ground like a rock. It’s heartbreaking,” he said.

Donald Trump called Chopper crash footage “horrific”

US President Donald Trump called the accident “terrible”.

“The Hudson River crashes a terrible helicopter. Six people, pilots, two adults, and three children, are no longer with us. The footage of the accident is frightening. God blesses the families and friends of the victims. Secretary of Transport, Scene Dafi, and their talented employees are on it. What has been done as announcements.

New York Mayor Eric Adams called it a “heart -breaking and tragic accident” and said that all six victims were removed from water.

Since 1977, at least 38 people have died in helicopter cracks in New York City.
