Video: Israeli missile hits Lebanese journalist’s home during live interview

A Lebanese journalist was injured when an Israeli missile hit his home while he was giving a live TV interview. Fadi Boudaya, editor-in-chief of Miraya International Network, was seen losing his balance and falling off screen as the missile hit his home.

The footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows Boudaya speaking in the middle of a conversation which turned into a scream when the explosion occurred. Fortunately, he suffered only minor injuries in the incident.

The journalist, who is reportedly a Hezbollah sympathizer, later reassured his followers via Twitter. “Thank you to everyone who called, sent messages, checked in and to everyone who felt any emotion,” he wrote. “Thank God, I am fine, thanks to God and his blessings, and we are back to continue our media duty in support of the resistance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

The attack on Fadi Boudaya comes amid rising tensions between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah. Since the Gaza war began last October, the two sides have been involved in intense cross-border clashes, and hostilities have recently reached new heights.

The situation worsened after a cyber attack on Hezbollah members targeted their communication devices – pagers and walkie-talkies. Hezbollah accused Israel of plotting the attacks.

On Monday, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon killed more than 550 people, including 50 children. That evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message urging Lebanese civilians to evacuate their homes. He said, “Once the operation is over, they can return to their homes.”

Ibrahim Kubaisi, the head of Hezbollah’s missile division, was killed in Israeli airstrikes in Beirut on Tuesday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Kubaisi’s death, saying he was a key figure in Hezbollah’s missile operations. Apart from Kubaisi, at least two other high-ranking commanders were also reportedly killed.

The attacks targeting the Dahiyah suburb came amid intense cross-border clashes in which Hezbollah fired more than 300 rockets at northern Israeli towns.
