Vidamuyarchi Records a solid east-sell of Rs 3 crore in Tamil Nadu, a Bangar starts
By 9:30 am (2 February), Vidamuirchi has recorded an outstanding pre-sale of Rs 3 crore for the early day in its home state. So far, the film has sold 1.50 lakh tickets in 90 tracked theaters and 670 shows across the state.
Apart from its domestic sales, the film has also recorded a good start in foreign east-relief booking. Reports show that the film has already sold 5,000 tickets in Malaysia and has seen an encouraging pre-cell of USD 25K for the early day alone.
Already with four days already, advance reports indicate the introduction of a Benger for Ajit Kumar film. If the film manages a similar speed in the next 4 days, Vidamuirchi will definitely post a big day number 1 at the box office.
Vidamuyarchi symbolizes Ajit Kumar’s return after Thunivu
Supported by Lika Productions, the action-thriller marked Ajit Kumar’s return on the silver screen after its 2023 release Thunivu. For Anward, no release was released with the actor in 2024. Interestingly, fans will rejoice in their magic on screen twice this year, as the superstar is also set with another outing, good bad ugly.
Coming back to Vidamuirchi, it was slate to hit the screen on 10 January during the Pongal Festival; However, the film was delayed due to some unexpected circumstances. Finally, Ajit Kumar starrer is set for release on 6 February 2025. The much awaited action thriller is one of the biggest box office bets of Kollywood this year and is expected to blow up the ticket window with his pre-bound. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan as a major female role.
