Actor Vicky Kaushal, who is currently promoting his film ‘Bad Newz’, recently celebrated his wife Katrina Kaif’s birthday. In an interview with Raj Shamani, Vicky recalled their first meeting at an awards function, where he proposed to her on stage as part of a scripted performance. He highlighted the difference in their nature, where he himself is more rational and logical, while Katrina approaches situations emotionally.

Vicky praised Katrina’s emotional intelligence and said how much he trusts her intuitive understanding of situations. He said that they resolve differences by balancing their different viewpoints, which makes their relationship complete.

Vicky said that when he’s emotionally upset, he needs distance. “When I’m angry or sad, I need isolation and I process these feelings in solitude and think about it rationally. I’m not sweeping it under the carpet. I’m really processing it during that time of isolation,” he said.

When Raj asked Vicky if Katrina is also a ‘distant person’ like him, he said, “She is the opposite. If we have a fight or an argument, we both can’t sleep. She wants to connect. That’s naturally her style, and my style is the exact opposite, which is why I think we fill in each other’s gaps beautifully.”

He praised Katrina’s emotional intelligence, saying, “I am the most rational person and she is the most sensitive person. Her emotional intelligence is amazing.” He’s very dangerous and I always trust him and I have a very practical, rational mind (Her emotional intelligence is amazing, while mine is very grounded, practical, and rational).”

The ‘Masaan’ actor said, “If we disagree on something, we have two different viewpoints on it. My viewpoint will be logical, and his will be emotionally based. It’s not about right or wrong, it’s about two viewpoints. Sometimes being completely different in that sense helps.”

Vicky also said, “What’s the point in blaming someone? Well you are right and I am wrong. As a couple, Now you win only when you are laughing and playing. There will be no peace in such a victory (There is no peace in winning by blaming someone).”

The couple who got married in a grand wedding ceremony in December 2021 has been one of the most loved couples of Bollywood.

Talking about the professional front, Vicky will next be seen in ‘Bad News’ alongside Tripti Dimri and Amy Virk. The film will release in theatres on July 19.
