Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyaan is one of the most awaited movies of this year. Recently, the makers released the teaser of the movie’s first single Manasilayo which has created a lot of excitement among the fans. Composed by the renowned Anirudh Ravichander, the song is set to release tomorrow, September 9.
Talking about the song, Manasilayo is a rocking song in which superstar Rajinikanth and Anirudh Ravichander are seen in stylish style. Thalaivar looks very handsome in a black suit and dark sunglasses. At the same time, Anirudh is also seen in a light colored vest.
The highlight of the song is the voice of Malaysia Vasudevan. He was a prominent Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. He breathed his last in Chennai in 2011. His voice has been brought back with the help of AI in Vettaiyan.
For those who don’t know, Rajinikanth and Malaysia Vasudevan last worked together in a film called ‘Oor Kaavalan’ in 1987. The film was a success and was the last time the pair worked together.
Sharing the first glimpse of the song Manasilayo, the makers wrote, “Bringing back the voice of the legendary Malaysia Vasudevan for Superstar after 27 years! #Manasilayo from Vettaiyaan. The full song will be released tomorrow at 5pm.”

Vettaiyaan is an upcoming action film directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 10 on the occasion of Dussehra festival. The film marks Rajinikanth’s 170th film and features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil and Dussehra Vijayan.
The story of the film is reportedly based on the life of Rajinikanth, who plays a retired police officer and fights against corruption in the system. Though the exact plot details have been kept under wraps, the film promises to have gripping drama and action.
Vettaiyaan was earlier set to clash with Suriya’s action fantasy film Kanguva in October. However, the makers of Kanguva postponed the film’s release date to avoid any direct competition with the Rajinikanth starrer. Kanguva may now hit the big screens on October 31.
