Veteran Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao dies on 83: Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu and others mourn the loss

Veteran actor-prose-heroa Kota Srinivasa Rao, who played a character in films, left for the heavenly residence in Hyderabad on Sunday. He was 83 years old. Allegedly, Rao was undergoing treatment for a prolonged illness. Celebrities like Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu have mourned their loss on social media.

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi faced X to mourn the loss of Kota Srinivasa Rao. Chiranjeevi paid tribute to the late actor and gave a long note. In his tweet, he mentioned that his death has “deeply sad” him.

Chiranjeevi remembered how the two started their respective career in 1978 with Telugu film Pranam Kharedu.

“… This is a comic villain, a serious villain, or a supporting character, every role he played was performed with such a talent that he felt that he could only do this justice. Recently, his family’s personal tragedy in his family impressed him mentally,” is written in a part of his tweet.

He said, “The zero left by an actor like Mr. Kota Srinivasa Rao is a void that the film industry and cinefiles will never remove. Praying for peace to his soul, I express my deep condolences to my family members, well -wishers and fans.”

Mahesh Babu also posted a heartfelt note after knowing about the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao. The actor expressed that the loss seems “personal”. Mahesh Babu tweeted, “Kota is unhappy after hearing about the demise of Srinivasa Rao Garu, we all feel personal, who grew up and grew up learning from him … May his soul can rest in peace.

SS Rajamouli, Venkatesh Daggubati and Genelia Deshmukh also react

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli also posted condolences on X expressing grief about the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao. In his post, the director called the late actor a “master of his craft” and a “legend”. Rajamouli said that Rao’s on-screen appearance was actually “irreparable”.

Kota Srinivasa Rao worked in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam films in his career. He made her acting debut with Pranam Kharedu. Rao acted in more than 700 films, including S/O Satyamurthy, Shiva, Rakat Charitra and Sarkar.
