The sudden medical emergency reportedly occurred when Ahn Sung Ki choked on food at his residence, prompting an immediate response from emergency personnel. He was given CPR before being transported to a nearby hospital, where doctors are closely monitoring his condition while conducting further evaluation.
According to several Korean media outlets, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. The actor collapsed while eating and his quick resuscitation was crucial in stabilizing him requiring hospitalization. This development has gained particular attention due to Ahn Sung Ki’s past health struggles. In 2019, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with blood cancer, which requires continued treatment. Despite making occasional public appearances following his diagnosis, the actor has largely maintained secrecy regarding his health, raising concerns over his current condition.
