Veteran actor Tom Troop, known for his roles in ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Mission: Impossible’, died in his home in Beverly Hills at the age of 97. This news was confirmed by his pracharak, Harlan Bol.

Born on July 15, 1928, in Canus City, Missouri, Troop began her acting journey in local theater products before she was transferred to New York City during the 1940s. There, he trained under the famous acting coach UTA Hegan at Herbert Bergof Studio. Troop also served in the Korean War and was awarded a bronze star for his service.
He started his broadway in 1957 in ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’. A year later, he moved to Los Angeles, marking the beginning of his Hollywood chapter. Over the years, he has depicted in a wide range of popular television programs including ‘The Wild Wild West’, ‘Chips’, ‘Cagney and Lacey’, ‘Er’, ‘Notes Landing’, and ‘Murder’. His film Credit includes titles like ‘Kelly Ke Heroes’, ‘The Devils Brigade’, ‘Summer School’ and ‘My On Private Idaho’, where she acted with river Phoenix and Kenu Reaves.
Beyond the screen, Troop maintained a deep connection with the theater. He often performed with his wife, Carol Cook of about six decades, who died in 2023. The couple shared the stage in presentations like ‘The Lion in Winter’, ‘Father’s Day’ and ‘The Jin Game’. In 2002, he was jointly honored with the prestigious theater Ovavation Award for the achievement of career, which for receiving praise to the already married couple.
