Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, popularly known as Bharat Kumar, dies at the age of 87 in Mumbai
Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, who was known for films, died in a private hospital in Mumbai and ‘Kranti’. They will be cremated on Saturday.

Veteran actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar died on Friday at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Friday. He was 87 years old. His son, Kunal Goswami confirmed this news ANI And said that he died at around 3.30 pm after battling health issues for a long time. Manoj Kumar was known for his patriotic films. Some of his hit films include ‘Purba and Paschim,’ Kranti ‘and’ Roti, Capada and Maken ‘to keep some names.
His son also said that the crematorium would take place on Saturday. “It is the grace of God to bid for this world peacefully. His cremation will be held tomorrow.”

Manoj Kumar was popular for his patriotic films, which earned him in Monikar, ‘Bharat Kumar’. He was the recipient of a National Film Award and Seven Filmfare Awards.
Filmmaker Ashok Pandit condoled Manoj Kumar’s death and paid tribute to him. Calling it a big necklace for the film industry, Ashok Pandit said, “It is sad to inform you all that the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner of the Indian film industry, Mr. Manoj Kumar ji and not.
Pandit further said that Manoj Kumar was not keeping well for a long time. “This is a great disadvantage to the industry. Manoj ji, will really remember you. We all met him at some time. He was always full of life, always happy. The whole industry will remember him. A great soul like him, a great creator like him, will never be in our industry,” he said.

He was not only an actor and director, but also proved to be his subtlety as a screenwriter, lyricist and editor. The Government of India honored him for his contribution to Indian cinema with the Padma Shri in 1992 and the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015.
Kumar was born in 1937 as Harikrishnan Giri Goswami in Abbotabad, which is now in Pakistan. Abbottabad is a small city in the northwest border province, British India (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan). He and his family moved to Delhi during partition. She made her Bollywood debut in 1957 with the film ‘Fashion’. However, it was his film ‘Kanchi Ki Gudiya’, which gave him the first break in the industry.
Apart from acting in films, he also directed and edited timeless classics like ‘Consideration’, ‘Shor’, ‘Jai Hindi’.
As one of the mythological actors of Indian cinema, he was known for his cooperation with actors Prem Nath, Prem Chopra, Kamini Kaushal, Hema Malini and many others.
