Ved’s Sharvari Wagh reveals she wanted to play Vikrant Massey’s role in 12th Fail for this reason

Currently, Sharvari Wagh is making headlines due to her performance in the recently released action film Veda. For the past few days, the actress has been busy promoting her latest project. Meanwhile, in a recent interview, she spoke about her fondness for the film 12th Fail and revealed that she wanted to play Vikrant Massey’s role. Although she knew it was not a practical idea, Sharvari mentioned that the character sketch touched her heart.

In a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Sharvari was asked if she has any actress’ movie in mind which has already released and she feels that she could have played that role in her place. To this, the Maharaj actress said that her answer was ‘weird’. She said, “I don’t have any actress’ movie but after watching the movie, I wish I would have got a role which would have been a 12th fail.”

Apart from this, Sharvari Wagh told that she wanted to play Vikrant Massey’s character. Praising the performance of the Haseen Dilruba actor, who was again in this film directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, she called him ‘excellent’. The Munjya actress said that although she was aware that 12th Fail is based on a true story, she wanted to play Vikrant’s character. Sharvari praised the story of the film and its graph. Apart from this, the actress also added the name of Kiran Rao’s Missing Ladies, which was recently screened for Supreme Court judges.

For those who don’t know, 12th Fail is based on the biography of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma and highlights his struggles while preparing for UPSC. The film was a sleeper hit at the box office and was ranked among the best films of 2023.

On the career front, Sharvari is enjoying the success of Munjya, which marked her entry into Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, while her recent release, Veda is running in theatres. She is next working on Alpha, which stars Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol alongside her.
