Rapper Vedan is one of the most popular artists in South India, especially in Kerala. Recently, his concert was held on Sunday at Palakkad Kota Maithnam and a huge crowd turned for the event. According to a report by a Mathruubumi, the situation at the site was out of control due to heavy voting, and the police had to resort to a lathi charge.
According to the report, the organizers were forced to close the venue entry by 6 pm due to congestion. However, a stampede occurred soon, injuring many people. The affected people were quickly rushed to the district hospital for treatment.
A scuffle between the police and the event organizers started when the situation worsened. The officials struggled to manage the crowd, stressed. The authorities sealed all the gates and resumed the traffic to reduce the crowd around the venue.
The event was scheduled for the evening of 18 May, but large -scale voting exceeded all expectations. Before that day, Vedan had attended a government ceremony with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The CM warmly welcomed the artist, who reportedly contributed to Spike to Vedan’s concert that evening later.
As soon as the crowd flowed, many attendees near the stage complained of dizziness and shortness of breath. Medical teams were deployed on the site, and although injuries occurred, there were no major casualties.
According to a report by Kerala Kaumudi, about 15 people were injured during a stampede -like situation at Vedan’s concert.
Hirandas Murali, known as Vedan, is a rapper and lyricist from Tharaisur district of Kerala. He was recognized in June 2020 after releasing his first music video, Voice of the Voyns on YouTube, which quickly went viral. His next release was Bhumi Najan Vazunidam.
Last year, he performed a promo song for Manjmel Boys. Vedan also put his voice out of Marathin Neeram in any way. His 2024 work includes Kondal Vedan songs and kisses in clouds. Rapper also depicted Kshmr’s album Karam and released solo like Budhai Pira, VAA and social criminals.
