Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor are friends since childhood. The actress had revealed in the past that he had proposed to her when they were kids but she had rejected him. Varun recently revealed about the incident that happened after this. He revealed that Shraddha had got him beaten and it was quite a ‘filmy’ scene.
In a recent conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Varun Dhawan recalled that he and Shraddha Kapoor were eight years old when he took her to the mountains to express his love. He told which girl a boy likes at which age. The actor then shared what happened after that.
Varun remembered that Shraddha had invited him to her tenth birthday party and she was wearing a frock. He told that there were about three to four boys who were in love with the actress. Varun further told that he was playing on the jumping bag when the boys came to him and asked why he did not like Shraddha. The Badlapur star recalls him telling her that he was only interested in the dance competition there and not in girls.
Varun Dhawan revealed that people replied, ‘No, no, you have to like him.’ He shared that they started a fight with him and he was beaten up. “He got me beaten by three boys because I was not saying yes.”
Varun told that in return he also beat him. He said, “It was like a movie scene.” Varun said that he also won the dance competition while Shraddha stood third.
During this conversation, Varun Dhawan remembered another incident when Shraddha Kapoor was 15-16 years old and had become very beautiful. He told that he had gone to his school to play Dandiya. VD shares that he hit someone with a dandiya stick and was trying to hide. He remembered that Shraddha was walking slowly towards him and was looking very beautiful.
Varun said, “Then I realized that maybe I have made some mistake).” However, he said that he did not make any mistakes that he would have made at the age of 8. Varun finally said that after that he became friends with Shraddha again.
Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor have worked together in many films and their pairing is extremely popular among fans. The former also played a cameo role in his horror comedy film Stree 2. Their chemistry in the beautiful song was greatly appreciated by the audience.
During Pinkvilla’s masterclass in 2024, Shraddha Kapoor was asked when she would be seen on screen with Varun again. In response, the actress shared, “You know we have to present something together, very honestly (laughs).” Talking about the love given to her by the audience, she further said, “And I think it should be… We have got a lot of love from you guys, so you have set the bar very high for us.”
Shraddha further added, “So we have to make sure that we choose the right film so that you guys feel like ‘Yaar yes yeh sahi film mein aayi hain Varsha saath mein’ (Yes, this is the right film in which Varsha came along). ”He also expressed his cooperation.
