Varlaxmi Sarathkumar recently opened a dance show, which revealed the details about sexual harassment as a child. During her appearance in Zee Tamil, the actress shared her experience after disclosing a contestant that she had to face harassment from her family.
A contestant named Kemi revealed how he was misused by his family members. Hearing her story, Varlaxmi broke and said, “I am just like you. My parents were working back then, so they used to leave me in the care of other people.”
The actress expressed, “Five to six people abused me as a child. Your story is my story. I have no children, but I always tell my parents to teach my children about good touch and bad touch.”
For those unknown people, Varlaxmi Sarathkumar is the daughter of popular actor Sarath Kumar and his first wife, Chaya Devi. Over the years, the actress has appeared in various cinematic ventures, making her one of the most prominent personalities in Tamil and Telugu cinema.
She is also the half -daughter of actress Radhika and married Nikolai Sachdev on 3 July 2024, a Gallery in Mumbai.
On the work front, Varlaxmi Sarathkumar was last seen in the thriller of the film Shivangi Lionas, a Telugu-language, who portrayed him with Anandi. The film was released on March 7, 2025.
Looking forward, the actress is expected to appear in the alleged final film of Thalapathi Vijay, titled Jan Nayagan. The Political Action Drama is directed by H. Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol are also in lead roles. The film has been slated for release on 9 January 2026.
