Directed by Mari Selvaraj, ‘Vaaji’ hit the big screens on August 23. The film received positive response from the audience and critics for its story. After a successful run in theatres, the film is now set for a digital debut in October.
Recently, Disney+ Hotstar announced that Mari Selvaraj’s rural drama film will release on the platform on October 11. Vaazhhai will premiere on the OTT in multiple languages ​​including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.

The story of Vaazhai revolves around the life of school student Sivanandan. He works in a banana plantation to support his family after his father’s death. Despite being a promising student and dreaming of a better future, he has to face the harsh realities of poverty. As the story progresses, the film takes many twists and turns.
The film is believed to be partially based on the life of filmmaker Mari Selvaraj. Vaazhhai also stars Nikhila Vimal, Ponvel M., Raghul R. and others.
