Wall Street’s major indexes eased on Tuesday, as investors heaved a sigh of relief after the major indexes posted their biggest intraday gains in weeks in the previous session, while markets braced for a ‘data-heavy’ week of labor reports.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 10.2 points, or 0.02%, at 48,987.36. The S&P 500 rose 6.0 points, or 0.09%, to 6,908.03, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 51.1 points, or 0.22%, to 23,446.959.
