Urvashi Rautela’s team issued an official statement demanding legal action against those who dropped their comments on ‘Urvashi Temple’ from context. The actor’s team agreed with his claim to worship as ‘Damdami Mai’ at Delhi University.

Actor Urvashi Rautela’s team shared an official statement on Saturday, when the actor faced a backlash to allegedly claim that he was worshiped in a temple named after the holy Badrinath Shrine in Uttarakhand. The statement mentions that the actor’s words were excluded from the context, and is called ‘Damdami Mai’ at the University of Delhi.
“Urvashi Rutela said that there is a temple named after me in Uttarakhand, not the temple of Urvashi Rutela. Now people do not listen to things properly; just listening to ‘Urvashi’ or ‘Temple’, they assumed that people worship Urvashi Rutla.
The team further quoted Rautela to threaten legal action against those who tried to get his statement out of proportion. He further read, “Urvashi said,” Yes, at the University of Delhi, he was worshiped as ‘Damdami Mai’, and there is also a news article about it. Legal action should be taken against those who confused about Urvashi Rautela’s statement (SIC). “
The 31 -year -old asked the trolls to find his facts right, and did not discredit him, many interesting women with ‘first’ titles. “It is necessary that the facts are fully verified before making baseless allegations or derogatory remarks against any person. Everyone in the society should behave with each other with respect and understanding so that everyone’s rights can be preserved (SIC),” said in the statement.
During a conversation with host Siddharth Kannan, Rautla said that the Urvashi temple near Badrinath Dham was built after him. He said that the temple attracts devotees, including students of Delhi University, who also make their pictures masculine and call them ‘Damdamai’. He claimed, “I am getting serious about it. His statement in the interview turned into a dispute, harassing the temple and priest of the local people who abolished the demand for legal action from the actor and a public forgiveness.
Former religious officer of Badrinath Dham, local priest Bhuwan Chandra Uyl said that Urvashi Rutela’s claim was misleading. He clarified that the Urvashi temple is associated with Goddess Sati in Hindu mythology, and is considered a part of 108 Shaktipeths. He said that the temple is deeply connected to the spiritual practices of the residents of Bamni and Pandukeshwar villages, who worship there as part of their tradition.
He took action against Rautela and criticized the actor for claiming ownership of a religious site. “This is not his temple. Such statements are unacceptable, and the government should take strict steps against someone to make such claims,” Uniyal said.
Villagers of Bamni and Pandukeshwar have also expressed anger.
Local resident Ramnarayan Bhandari said that no person has the right to make personal claims about a temple with deep mythological and cultural importance. He said that the entire community strongly opposed Rautela’s comments.
