plot:
Kate (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is an aspiring scientist from Oklahoma, USA. She is awestruck by the beauty of twisters and constantly looks for ways to harness their destructive power. She chases a tornado with her tribe, but a miscalculation in assessing the tornado’s magnitude results in the death of two of her tribe friends. Javi (Anthony Ramos) is another twisters enthusiast member of Kate’s tribe who luckily didn’t die.
Five years after the incident, Kate and Javi are brought together by circumstance. Kate is a scientist living in New York while Javi is a kindhearted entrepreneur. They team up to test a new tracking system.
Tyler (Glen Powell) and his team of famous but reckless YouTube tornado wranglers are on the other side of the storm. Kate and Tyler meet each other for the first time. Although they initially don’t like each other, they gradually become attracted to each other’s charm and skills.

What Works for Twisters
Twisters deserves appreciation for the exceptional special effects that make the movie viewing experience a very entertaining one. The way the destruction caused by the tornado is shown on screen is breathtaking, though heartbreaking to watch. Glen Powell has a very strong screen presence and he wins you over completely with his moviestar-like charm and charisma. The lead pair’s chemistry is fresh. Twisters, though seen as a summer entertainer, does not hold back from telling its audience how destructive tornadoes are and what a huge threat they pose in the future due to their increasing intensity.
What doesn’t work for twisters
Twisters doesn’t really surprise you. You get what you expect and nothing more. There are a few loose ends in the story that make the film a little less engaging than it should have been. Daisy Edgar-Jones has given a good performance, but she doesn’t reach the high bar set by her co-star Glen Powell. Apart from a few minor problems, Twisters is a thoroughly entertaining film.

Performances in Twisters:
Glen Powell as Tyler is charming and charismatic. He has all the makings of a true blue movie star. Daisy Edgar-Jones as scientist Kate is very beautiful. Anthony Ramos as Javi is quite impressive as an entrepreneur who teams up with Kate to test a new tracking system. The other supporting cast in the film only enhance the film in their own way.
Twisters Final Verdict:
