Twenty One Box Office Collection: Agastya Nanda starrer finds it difficult to grow on Saturday, netts Rs. 13 crores in 3 days

Twenty One Saturday failed to show the required bounce in business as it could only garner a growth of 30 per cent. The film made Rs. It earned around Rs 4 crore on the third day, taking its total earning to Rs. Around Rs 13 crore nett. Four-day extended first weekend at Rs. 17 crore nett or so. These numbers obviously aren’t bad for the actors involved, but the costs are very high, and they required far larger numbers than the film has had so far. More importantly, this trend is quite common and a film like this cannot go far without taking this trend in its favor.

Of course, with some outside help the film had a good first day. There was a sense of optimism, as it was a film devoid of commercial elements, hence released with low expectations, but it managed to get an opening. Optimism was dashed by the second day’s decline. Nevertheless, the expectation was that Saturday would match its opening day numbers, and this would give it a better weekend total, as well as a chance to stay ahead of the weekend. This slow growth on Saturday has largely sealed its fate.

The first film of the year did not perform well, but at that time there was a belief in the industry that the first released film of the year does not do well. Of course, this is just a superstition and is not the reason why this film or other films in the past have not been successful. Nevertheless, Twenty One has now joined that list.

The box office collections of Twenty One at the Indian box office are as follows:

Day net
Thursday Rupee. 6.00 crores.
Friday Rupee. 3.00 crores.
Saturday Rupee. 4.00 crores.

Total Rupee. 13.00 crores.
