Turkish Olympic shooter Yusuf Dikek has taken the internet by storm, with fans naming him the ‘Turkish John Wick’ for his calm, composed demeanour and impressive marksmanship. Now, the official X handle of the John Wick franchise has responded to a tweet that addressed him as the ‘Turkish John Wick’.

Dike has sparked a flurry of fan art and memes, capturing the hearts of millions across the globe. The viral sensation’s calm and focused approach during the Olympics caught the attention of viewers, who instantly compared him to iconic action hero John Wick. An ex handle shared his picture from the event and captioned, “Turkey John Wick (Turkish flag emoji) Paris 2024.”

His keen eye and precise movements while aiming at the target were very similar to the character played by Keanu Reeves. The official handle of the film franchise ‘John Wick’ reacted to the post and wrote, “Yes.”

Despite the lack of special equipment, Yusuf Dicek secured the silver medal along with teammate Sevval Ilayda Tarhan. Since Dicek’s achievement, social media has been flooded with praise for his “unique” and “inspiring” performance. Memes have also flooded Dicek.

The silver medal is Dikech’s first Olympic medal and his fifth since his debut at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, a remarkable achievement.

Born on 1 January 1973 in Goksun, Turkey, Yusuf Dikeç has had an illustrious career in shooting. He graduated from Gazi University of Physical Training and Education and holds a master’s degree in coaching from Selcuk University, which shows his commitment to the sport.
