Trupti Dimri got her breakthrough role in the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal in 2023. Following the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial debut, the actress is known as India’s ‘national crush’. Trupti, who was last seen in Vicky Vidya’s Woh Wala video, revealed that she used to get nervous and at times could not perform well on the sets. Her co-star Rajkummar Rao would give her some formulas to experiment with her performance.
During a new interview with Filmfare, Trupti Dimri shared her experience of working with Rajkummar Rao on the sets of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala video. Trupti remembered that she was “scared and nervous” which would affect her performance. The actress revealed this by saying that Rajkumar will boost her confidence by giving her sutra.
The actress said, “He would sometimes give me some formulas like why don’t you try it this way? So that my performance looks good and the scene works perfectly. So, I think it’s really important to have such co-stars. is important.” Said.
Talking about Rajkumar, Trupti shared that the actress is fortunate to have him under the direction of Raaj Shaandilyaa. The Animal star said that she would not have been able to perform well without her co-star Rajkummar.
In the same interview, Trupti Dimri praised Rajkummar Rao’s comic timing and how adept he is with his lines. Trupti emphasized that she has a lot to learn from him. Giving the example of Vicky Vidya’s Woh video set, the actress shared that Rajkummar would be there even if he didn’t have any scenes to shoot.
Trupti further praised him saying that he is a secure actor and is confident in his art.
Earlier, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Trupti Dimri had revealed that her co-star Rajkummar Rao can complete a two-page monologue in one go. Trupti said that he does this without spoiling the lines.
That video of Vicky Vidya was released on October 11, 2024. The film starred Trupti Dimri and Rajkummar Rao as an on-screen married couple of the 90s. It also featured Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Archana Puran Singh and Tiku Talsania in important roles.
