Trupti Dimri, who made her Bollywood debut with Poster Boys in 2017, gained recognition after starring in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 film, Animal. She was paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor in a supporting role in Vanga’s directorial debut. Trupti recently admitted to being under extreme ‘performance pressure’ while shooting for an animal scene with Ranbir. The actress shared that she kept bouncing her lines in order.
In a new podcast interview with The Ranveer Show, Trupti Dimri recalled that she found it quite difficult to do the confession scene during the making of Animal. Trupti said that she has been a fan of Ranbir Kapoor all her life.
Trupti said, “There was immense pressure on me to perform that day. I kept reciting my lines over and over again. An actor whom I have admired all my life is standing in front of me. I have to perform the scene with him. ” ,
The Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala video actress recalled that she was unable to cry while shooting the scene in Animal. Trupti remembered that there was something wrong at that time and she needed support. The Animal star shared that Ranbir extended his support during the filming of the sequence.
Talking about her experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor, Trupti Dimri suggested that he is quite “calm” and “reserved” as a person. Trupti said that the actor is a good person and the way he offered her help made a lot of difference.
In Animal, Ranbir Kapoor played the role of Ranvijay Singh and Trupti was cast in the role of Zoya. Rashmika Mandanna played the role of his on-screen wife Geetanjali. The 2023 film also stars Anil Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor and others. Bobby Deol played the role of a villain in the film.
Animal, a 2023 film, received mixed responses from the audience during its release. Some of them talked about how it promotes toxic masculinity and misogyny.
Meanwhile, Trupti Dimri was recently seen in Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala video. This comedy film directed by Raaj Shandilya also featured Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. It was released in theaters on 11 October 2024. Trupti has also worked in films like Laila Majnu, Kaala and Bulbul.
