Kashyap, a loyalist by US President Donald Trump, has been confirmed as Director of the Indian Original Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) earlier. The Republican-controlled US Senate approved him by 51–49 votes on Thursday. Dan Skevino, President and Deputy Chief of the White House welcomed Mr. Patel in a Bollywood style.
Mr. Skevino shared a dance clip on the X of the song ‘Malahari’ from ‘Bajirao Mastani’, which featured actor Ranveer Singh – was replaced with Mr. Patel, leaving Mr. Singh’s face. The song broadly translates: “Let’s play the song of Khushi … we have crushed our enemies”.

The 47 -second clip has been viewed more than three million times and has more than 10,000 likes.
The Republican-led US Senate confirmed Mr. Patel in a narrow majority vote of 51-49, with two Republican Senator Lisa Murkovski and Susan Colins voted with all Democrats against confirming the candidate of Mr. Trump. However, Mr. Patel explained more about his opposition and Democrats, one of whom warned at a press conference outside the FBI headquarters at Washington DC, that Mr. Patel would “be the cause of evil in this building”.
Shortly after his confirmation, Mr. Patel thanked Mr. Trump and Attorney General Palm Bondi for his support and emphasized his commitment to restore the public trust in the FBI. He vowed to rebuild the agency into a “transparent, accountable and committed to justice”.
“The FBI has a storey heritage from” G-Main “for the protection of our nation in view of 9/11. American people deserve an FBI who is transparent, accountable and committed to justice. Politicalization of our justice system. The public trust is erased, but has ended today.
The new FBI director said, “Mission First. America always. Let’s start working.”

Born in New York for Gujarati parents in 1980, Mr. Patel grew up in East Africa. He graduated from Garden City High School in Long Island. According to his defense profile department, Mr. Patel completed his graduation at Richmond University before returning to New York to earn a certificate in his law and international law from the University College London London Faculty of Law in the United Kingdom.
He has also worked as a National Security Advisor and Senior Advocate for the House Permanent Selection Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).
