Trump recalled the shooting incident and said, the bullet "It felt like the world’s biggest mosquito"

A video recording of a private phone call between former US President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr was leaked on social media earlier this week. The clip, which was first shared on X by Bobby Kennedy III, provides a first-person account of how Mr Trump remembers his assassination attempt on July 13. In the video, he revealed that the gunshot wound “felt like the biggest mosquito in the world”, and expressed his shock when he learned the gunman fired with an AR-15. He also recalled his conversation with President Joe Biden after the shooting.

“It was actually pretty cool. He (Joe Biden) called me up and asked, ‘How did you decide to move to the right?'” Mr Trump told RFK Jr. “I said, ‘I was just showing a chart, I didn’t have to tell them that this chart is based on all the people that are coming into our country,'” he added.

In addition, Mr. Trump said the gunshot wound was “like the world’s biggest mosquito.”

A gunman tried to kill Donald Trump by shooting him in the ear at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The 78-year-old former president was carried off the stage with a bloodied face after the shooting, while the attacker and a spectator were killed and two spectators were seriously injured.

In an interview with New York PostMr Trump expressed his gratitude to the Secret Service and described the assassination attempt a day earlier as “a very surreal experience”. He said: “I shouldn’t be here, I should be dead.”

Recalling the incident, Mr Trump said if he had not turned his head slightly to the right to read the chart, he would have been dead by now. At that moment, a bullet grazed his ear, tearing off a small piece of it and causing blood to splatter on his forehead and cheek. Secret Service agents rushed in, yelled at him to “get down” and tackled him to the ground like “linebackers” and then took him to hospital. He also showed a bruise on his arm from where he was grabbed.

Donald Trump praised the Secret Service for quickly killing the shooter, who was 130 yards from the roof. He described the agents’ actions as “fantastic” and said they did a great job. He also showed where he hit the shooter by pointing to his nose.
