Trump ordered the International Criminal Court to approve

The White House stated that US President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order and slapped sanctions for the US and its close aide Israel for a “baseless” investigation on the international criminal court.

Trump’s order stated that the court in Hague issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “misusing his power”, who spoke to the US President on Tuesday.

The order also stated that the tribunal was engaged in illegitimate and unfounded works, “the US and our close associates,” were engaged in illegitimate and unfounded works, “American service members in Afghanistan and alleged war in alleged war crimes by Israeli soldiers in Gaza in crimes Referring to.

The US President ordered asset freeze and travel ban against ICC officers, employees and their family members, as well as anyone understood to help in the court investigation.

The sanctions are a demonstration of support after Netanyahu’s visit to the White House, during which Trump unveiled a plan for the US and “carrying” Gaza and transferred Palestinians to other Middle Eastern countries.

Neither the United States nor the Israel is a member of the court.

There was no immediate response to the ICC.

The ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu, his former Defense Minister Yo Galant, and Hamas’s military head Mohammad Diff – on November 21 – which Israel says he is dead.

The warrant approved after an application by ICC prosecutor Karim Khan in May, “at least from 8 October 2023 is for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed until at least 20 May 2024.”

During his first term, Trump imposed financial sanctions and a visa ban on the then ICC’s then Pratou Bensouda and other senior officers and employees in 2020.

Describing it as a “Kangaroo Court”, his then administration took this step after initiating an investigation into allegations of war crimes against American soldiers in Afghanistan.

While his order did not name Israel at the time, the Trump administration officials said that he was also angry with Bensoda to open an investigation by the investigation into the situation in Palestinian areas in 2019.

The President Joe Biden lifted the sanctions soon after assuming office in 2021.

The prosecutor Khan later effectively released the United States of Afghan investigation and focused on the Taliban instead.

Biden strongly condemned the “derogatory” warrant against Netanyahu in November.

The US House passed a bill to approve the ICC last month, but the Senate Democrats blocked it last week, stating that the bill could be a backfire on American colleagues and firms.

But Democrats have also expressed anger over the sanctions on Netanyahu.
