Remember Sonam Khan, the actress who made headlines with her debut in Yash Chopra’s ‘Vijay’ opposite Anil Kapoor in 1988? Well, she is all set to reunite with her first co-star, but it’s not for a film. IndiaToday.In has learnt that Sonam has been confirmed to be a part of ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. It will also mark her comeback after over 30 years!

Sonam featured in a song ‘Oye Oye’ from her first hit film ‘Tridev’. In 1993, she quit films after marrying ‘Tridev’ director Rajiv Rai and left India.

‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ will see Sonam return and reunite with Anil Kapoor! ‘Vijay’ was a Yash Chopra multistarrer film starring Rishi Kapoor, Meenakshi Seshadri, Rajesh Khanna and Hema Malini. Although Sonam was paired opposite Rishi Kapoor, she had major scenes with Anil Kapoor as well.

Sonam has worked with Govinda, Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Chunky Pandey, Sanjay Dutt in her career spanning nearly 30 films. In her short stint in Bollywood, she was known for her bold avatar and glamorous image.

Sonam married Rajiv Rai in 1991. She has a son Gaurav and was living abroad until she got divorced from Rai in 2016. A few years ago, she got married again and was looking forward to restarting her career in the entertainment industry. In a recent interview with India Today, she said that the world of OTT is amazing, with a lot of interesting things happening. So, it was a perfect time and place for her to make a comeback.

Meanwhile, ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ is set to premiere on June 21 on Jio Cinema.
