Singer Tony Kakkar and Shaan defended Sonu Nigam after receiving a backlash on his comment at the Bengaluru concert.

Singer Sonu Nigam recently canceled the controversy due to a comment made during a live concert in Bengaluru on 25 April. It conducted a public inquiry and A. Tony Kakkar posted a message on Instagram, praising Nigam’s dedication to music and criticized the crowd of judging him based on a short video clip. “Sir Sonu Nigam is not just a singer. He shaped our childhood, inspired millions of people, and taught him to an entire generation. It actually hurts him to watch wrongly on a twisted headline (SIC),” he wrote.

Singer Shan also shared his thoughts and told that similar things have happened to him in the past. They told IANS“The issue is that we have to be inclusive. We have to be more tolerant. And, music is a universal language. People should be a little more patient, should be a little more tolerant. If you have chosen an artist, you know in which language their songs are (SIC).”
Both singers asked people to show patience and understand the whole situation before taking decisions. He also reminded everyone of Sonu Nigam’s long -term contribution to Indian music.
For unknown people, Sonu Nigam recently performed at a college event, where some members of the audience shouted to sing again and again in KannadaIn response, Nigam stopped the show and said, “Kannada, Kannada. This is the reason behind the incident in Pahalgam.” The comment went viral and public debate took place.
In response, Sonu Nigam wrote On Instagram, “Sorry Karnataka. My love for you is greater than my ego. Love you allways.” He also shared a detailed apology and clarification, claiming that he has always shown deep respect for Karnataka and its culture. “I have given unprecedented love to language, culture, music, musicians, state and people,” he wrote.
