Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh held his Dil-Luminati concert in Chandigarh on December 14 and dedicated the event to the youngest world chess champion, 18-year-old Dommaraju Gukesh. During the concert, he also referenced the famous dialogue from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise.

Diljit shared glimpses of his Chandigarh concert on social media. In a video, he was seen talking to the audience from the stage. Praising Gukesh, who became the youngest world champion in history by defeating China’s Ding Liren on Thursday to win the FIDE Chess World Championship title, Diljit said, “I dedicate this show to Gukesh because he has achieved the feat in becoming world champion. Thought of and he became. One. Problems arise; I am also facing them every day.

Later in the video, Diljit shared his experience of watching the first film in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa franchise, Pushpa: The Rise. The singer said that he liked the film very much and mentioned its popular dialogue, “Will not bow down”. Referring to this, Diljit joked, “If the brother-in-law does not bow down, will the brother-in-law bow down?” (If he doesn’t bow, will brother-in-law bow?) This quip made the crowd happy and Diljit concluded with a promise that this concert would be the best night of his life.

Ahead of the event, Chandigarh Police banned smoking and drinking in public areas, including inside the concert venue, and warned of strict action against violators. Additionally, the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) issued an advisory to Diljit, asking him not to perform songs promoting alcohol, drugs or violence, specifically Patiala Peg, 5 Tara Theke and Kes Ka. name taken.

Diljit Dosanjh will conclude his Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024 in Guwahati on December 29.
